Christian Meditations
Introduction
Each week I’ll post a different meditation.
Hopefully it will give you time to pause
and contemplate.
Some will be soothing ,
a sort of falling into the Lord’s arms;
others will be protective, keeping Satan way,
and still others will be encouraging
and pushing you forward to take a risk.

Patience . . . God’s Timing
Heavenly Father,
Here I am again, another week, thank you for getting me
through this week and keeping me safe
Lazarus Dying … John11:5-7
Mary’s sends a message to Jesus telling him Lazarus is sick.
So although Jesus loved Martha and Mary and Lazarus,
He stayed where he was for the next two days.
The Lord knows our pain;
at times, He does not respond immediately.
His delay has a specific reason.
Sometimes God’s timing, especially his delays make us think
that He is not answering us or answering the way we want.
But he will meet all our needs according to his perfect timing.
Philippians 4:19
And the same God who takes care of me
will supply all of your needs from his glorious riches,
which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
I can trust that God will always supply my needs.
Whatever I need on earth,
He will always supply even if it is the courage to face death.
Whatever I need in heaven He will supply.
I must remember the difference between my wants and my needs.
Most people want to feel good and avoid discomfort or pain.
I may not get all I want.
By trusting in God, my attitudes and appetites can change from wanting everything
to accepting His provision and power to live for Him.
Lord, give me the patience and endurance to wait on You.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
